What a beautiful day at The Convent Daylesford for Jill and Josh’s wedding. It was the end of March and the last of the summer sun… and boy did it turn it on for us. Jill was getting ready right across the street, where I snuck a few snaps of her getting into her dress and adjusting the incredible pill box hat and veil passed down from her mum.
They chose to have their ceremony in the chapel of the convent and I think you can see why with its magnificent architecture and old stain glass windows. Jill and Josh had actually already married at the registry office between lock downs so the ceremony felt like a really personal affair where they had a dear friend officiate and both mums said a few words. Something you don’t often see but I thought was a really beautiful and intimate touch.
After the petal toss we snuck off around the grounds to take some portraits and have a dry run of their first dance. You might be able to tell by the photos that Jill is actually a dancer with the Australian Ballet Company so as you can imagine the first dance did not disappoint – and I think I can say Josh also really held his own!
I hope you enjoy these photos, I had a ball taking them and hopefully they give you some ideas for your own Daylesford wedding.
